Cookie Policy

What are the Cookies

Cookies are short pieces of text (letters and/or numbers) that allow the web server to store on the client (the browser) information to be reused during the same visit to the site (session cookies) or later, even for long periods (persistent cookies). Cookies are stored, according to the user’s preferences, by the single browser on the specific device used (computer, tablet, smartphone). Similar technologies can be used to collect information about user behaviour and usage of services.

In the following document we will refer to cookies and all similar technologies by simply using the term “cookies”.

What are the main types of Cookies

Depending on the characteristics and use of cookies we can distinguish different categories:

Strictly necessary cookies or technical cookies. These cookies are essential for the proper functioning of our site and are used to manage login and access to the confidential functions of the site, in general to speed up, improve or customize the level of service to users. The duration of cookies is either strictly limited to the working session (closed the browser are deleted), or longer, aimed at recognizing the visitor’s computer. Disabling them can compromise the use of loginable services, while the public part of the site remains normally usable.

Analysis and performance cookies. They are cookies used to collect and analyze the traffic and use of the site anonymously and in aggregate. These cookies, first or third party, although without identifying the user allow for example to detect if the same user returns to connect at different times. They also allow you to monitor the system and improve its performance and usability. Disabling these cookies can be done without any loss of functionality.

Profiling cookies. These are permanent cookies used to identify (anonymously and not) the user’s preferences and improve his browsing experience, in order to send advertisements in line with the preferences expressed by the user in the context of network browsing. Due to the particular invasiveness that such devices may have within the privacy of users, European and Italian law requires that the user should be adequately informed about the use of them and thus express his valid consent.

Third-party cookies. Visiting a website you can receive cookies both from this visited site, and from sites managed by other organizations (third parties) through the first. An example is the presence of “social plugins” (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Google) aimed at sharing content on social networks. The presence of these plugins involves the transmission of cookies to and from all third-party sites. The management of information collected by third parties is governed by the relevant information to which please refer.

How to manage third-party cookies

To ensure greater transparency and convenience, for each of the third-party sites that can be installed through this site you will find the description and the web address of the information and how to manage cookies, in addition to the possible denial of consent to the installation of cookies.

Google Analytics

It’s a web traffic analysis service provided by Google, used to monitor and improve the performance of the host site (performance cookie). Google Analytics can collect and analyse anonymously information about usage behaviour. This information is collected by Google Analytics, which processes it for the purpose of reporting on websites. This site, by anonymizing the user’s IP address and subscribing to the Data Processing Amendment in accordance with European discipline dictated by Directive 95/46/CE, does not use (and does not allow third parties to use) Google’s analysis tool to monitor or collect personal identification information. Google does not associate the IP address with any other data owned by Google or try to link an IP address with a user’s identity. Google may also disclose this information to third parties where this is required by law or where those third parties withhold that information on behalf of Google.

How to disable Cookies from your Browser

The user can also decide whether or not to accept cookies using the settings of their browser.

Warning: Full or partial disabling of technical cookies can compromise the use of site features reserved for registered users. On the contrary, the usability of public content is also possible by completely disabling cookies. Disabling third-party cookies does not in any way affect navigability. The setting can be defined specifically for different websites and web applications. In addition, the best browsers allow you to define different settings for proprietary and third-party cookies.
